AWESOME. I can't wait until it's done!! Great label!!!
Posted by becky at January 3, 2009 5:28 PMVery cool. 30 beers is a typical size for brewing. (Generally, in my brewing days, I got just shy of that, 27 or 28.) Had I kept it up, I was considering getting some marine paint and painting a stencil onto my bottles so that I didn't have to label them every time, but it was around that time that I stopped brewing (owing to putting on too much weight when my ex and I were pregnant).
Much luck! Brown ales are also very amenable to new homebrewers. I also think it's wise not to ask people to drink "Jeremie's #1". ;)
Posted by a different brett at January 4, 2009 4:56 PMI say find out how to get the % of alc. but dont' test it until AFTER we've pounded a bunch and are really happy. Sweeeeeeet Ammmmbuuuur down my thoaaaa-TA.
Posted by brett at January 5, 2009 10:04 AMMake it rain up in this mug!
Posted by mark at January 5, 2009 10:21 AMLooks like I am not going to be able to find out the content, since I have to measure it before and after it ferments. We'll just have to do some tests with other beers, then compare how drunk we get.
Posted by jeremie at January 5, 2009 1:08 PMMan, Your sinking a lot of time an effort into this! Nice.
Make sure you have some Imodiom on hand for the day after the first taste test just in case.
Better yet try it on a small animal first.
Few people know the Jekyl/Hide story was actually about tring to make a Guinness home Brew. Look what happened there.
I'm sure it will taste great. (compared to American beer anyway)
HA.
