Paintball O Rama

Remember the days when we all used to piss about in the woods of Bowie MD. Shoot em up games with our Tippmann paintball guns and that. Well it seems like the entire sport has exploded.

A few years ago when I had my own amature team, Team K-oss, I, and my team mates, all 2 of them, were the only ones in our school to have even picked up a paintball marker. Since then things have changed so much. I hear 9th graders in the hall talking about that sick bunker or some such thing. All in all I feel really proud. Its kind of like when you find an indi band on the net that no one has heard about, only to hear it 2 months later played on the radio at 12 am. I feel like I was part of making something big.

He He, now Uncle Rob even plays Paintball, in fact, he has my old marker as we speak.

Alas, I am glad i got out of that money grubbing game. At the same time, im glad that I am known as one of the old school guys, who woulda thunk it?

Sonny, Rob was playin ball before we were born, before autoloaders and all that. I bet it would be good time to go out with them.

BTW.. you think you are getting old? F*CK that dude... I am balding (you will be blessed with the same curse, don't fool yourself), I am the oldest one at all the indie shows I go to. Hell.. i am older than the lead singers?

I've found that time isn't marked so much by your age, but that of your younger siblings - my brother is now 26! Isn't that how old I am supposed to be? The fact that he got engaged this year doesn't help either. I think it just gets more unsettling as you get older - hence mid life crises.

By the way - I remember paint ball - it was great! Nothing like huge bruises and broken skin!

Ya. Thats right. When we played paintball there were NO guns! We threw them at each other like David did to Goliath!
I just discovered a perk to getting old. You know when your at the drugstore and between the BIC lighters and the "help save.." charity box, there's that CD display? I just bought The Cars-Candy O for 4.99! For some reason that makes be feel good..

damn jeremie, i thought you claimed to know something about music. the dudes w/ beards are ZZ Top. The Cars are another bad 80s band. nice find rob, don't worry about burning me a copy though.

perhaps you should be more excited about the advancement of technology and commercialism, which then permits sellers to dispose of their product at cheaper prices. besides back in 1983 that tape would have been $3.99 =\
