I have always wondered if anyone was ever going to put up a stink about frisking the elderly or the 5 year olds at airport checkins. When are they going to empower the security that we pay for to use their brains to evaluate a situation rather than a random number generator?

If it's made a rule that old women and 5 year olds don't get frisked, guess who the stuffs going to be hidden on. Complete security is an illusion. That said, that article fucked me up good, and i never was afraid to fly even after 9/11. But dizzamn. I think i would have up and stabbed on of those dudes in the neck with a ball point as a pre-emptory strike if i saw all that jawns going on.

i fly in two weeks as well. short flights don't bother me. it's the coast to coast ones that sometimes make me nervous. what's that? i'm flying LA to atlanta...oh great. i have to say though, i'm a total loser. when i fly (about 5-6 roundtrips a year), i have often created scenarious in my mind on how to handle unexpected situations like these. such as elaborate yelling, some karate chopping and divebombing for the emergency exit, mid flight. or heading to the gaggle of guys in the bathroom line and blatantly asking, "soooo are you in a eurotrash band or building a bomb in this here toilet?" really smart shit.

to me, if you're on a flight like that, you're gonna die anyway. i'd rather go down in a cornfield and not give the m*thafuckas the satisfaction of hitting a real target. i hope i'd be the one helping and not pissing in the corner w/ sweaty palms, b/c that would piss me off.

But I doubt there is anything in S. Carolina any terroist would like to hit. (knocks on wood). I can't imagine what I'd do if all those mutha's stood up at the same time when the fasten seatbelt light was on and they were obvious men with small blatters the entire flight.
