A guy I work with sent me this link - you can rasterize the hell out of some images to make huge posters. Good when you want to create a huge wall mural in your dorm room.

Posted by liz at September 24, 2004 8:45 AMi'm confused (shocker)... i'm not nearly as art savvy as you all are, but i've been creating some admats in photoshop for some WMA clients like billy corgan (who apparently published poetry), bill cosby and megadeth. it's cool b/c i'm learning more photoshop tricks, but sucks b/c these idiots don't know what they want and ask for 45 million revisions a day.
anyway, sometimes i press something and the "you need to rasterize this" prompt comes up... but i don't know what rasterizing is. do you have any insight for my ig'nant self?!?
Rasterizing is what happens when you take something that is created as vectors (or outines) say type or line art, and turn it into a pixel based image. While you can usually size the hell out of vector art - you are very limited with pixels. I don't know if that helps…
