Kurt turned me on to selling stuff on Amazon.com marketplace and it can be very addictive. I told my friend Sonya about it as well. At first she wasn't that impressed, but once she started selling stuff she became obsessed. Its a great way to get rid of those old books, games, cds that are collecting dust on your shelves.

Posted by: loren at October 27, 2004 7:41 AMIts like selling on e-bay in that you have to pack the stuff up yourself, but it is better in that when people buy stuff, it is just like buying stuff regularly. Plus Amazon direct deposits your money into your checking account, so you don't have as many payment issues. They do take a healthy commission, but they reimburse you for shipping costs. Plus when people buy for amazon, you are more likely to get a higher price for your items (if it is not saturated with people trying to sell it off) than you might on e-bay because people tend to go to Amazon with the mindset of buying something full price.

Select the items condition from a menu, input an optional description, and set a price (they even list how many other copies are currently for sale w/ price. So you can potentially undercut another sellers price).
Boom, done, finished!
I'm actually on my way to the post office to send a copy of a crappy Xymox CD. 9 bucks for me, and a terrible addition to a CD collection in Montana. Who knew the ethereal/goth scene was thriving there?!?
