Man it's quiet around here. I came across this today at work. It's pretty awesome. Basically you just take your black and white photo, paint colors on it roughly and it turns it into a color image/movie, etc. Very interesting.

Posted by brett at March 14, 2005 11:30 AMYeah, this was at siggraph last year. I think it works off the premise that tones in black and white can easily be turned into color scales if you give them "hints". Really neat. This better be in photoshop CS 2 or whatever they are at now.
Holy crap! That's so cool! Is it an app in development or something? Or just an algorithm these guys are trying out?
