Yesterday in Atlanta was crazy. With the disaster on the Gulf Coast and rumors of gas prices reaching $4.00 - $5.00, it was total mahem at the pumps. There were also rumors of potential shortages. I gassed up in the morning and noticed the beginnings of desperation in the air. When I left the office at 5:00 pm, there were lines around the block at most gas stations. A couple took down the prices on the signs because prices were going up so fast. I also passed a number of stations that had already sold out of gas. I guess its just a taste of what they had to deal with in the 1970's. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next week or so. I started carpooling with a co-worker today.

i want to go fill up right now. and to think i was "smart" enough to drive 80 miles roundtrip to anaheim for a silly angels game last night. this gas debacle is cramping my style. =/
