To have a broken ass government?
Canadian Government Falls on No-Confidence
Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin leaves as his minority government was defeated by a no-confidence vote in the House of Commons triggering a federal election, in Ottawa, Monday Nov. 28, 2005. Canada's three opposition parties, which control a majority in Parliament, voted against Martin's government, claiming his Liberal Party no longer has the moral authority to lead the nation. The loss means an election for all 308 seats in the lower House of Commons, likely on Jan. 23. Martin and his Cabinet would continue to govern until then.
Wait a minute. Aren't you living in California?

Posted by: jeremie at November 29, 2005 10:37 AMNo, dude. Gray Davis -- voted out in a no-confidence vote. What's it like to live in a state with a broken-ass government? :)
Posted by: a different brett at November 29, 2005 12:27 PMyeah, but they have to fill 308 seats asap! holy shite!
Posted by: boo at November 29, 2005 3:34 PMCanadains don't like the non confidence vote. Ejecting the government in power is the our job. We don't vote parties IN up here, We vote them OUT. This all happened when a group of Quebec political Dick Heads were given some cash to make the french feel warm and fuzzy about staying in conferation. What they did was buy some golf balls and Ad time for 250 million. I think the defence was "250 mill-ion! That's alot of mon-ey. Some must have fallen....ummm.. in my pocket...you know...by accident... My pants, they are bag-ee!!
Plus, I don't like to vote in the winter. Starting in January, I just go out to work or the Beer Store. Maybe if the polls are near the Beer Store I'll vote labour this time.
