| don't leave. |
i've been thinking....i know this is late and we're already two weeks into 2006, but i thought i'd also throw down a few "resolutions". this year i'd like to go a bit against the grain, i don't want to set the bar so high, as to just get depressed when i eventually don't obtain my rockstar body, become mrs. tom brady or vault to a CEO position.
#1. "i will get uber fit." nah, it's just not gonna happen. in fact, the first three nights of 2006, i had mexican food for dinner, and taco bell...twice. that's right, i didn't even TRY to eat healthy. and it tasted SO good.
#2. kudos to my friend Mina. she and her roommates actually made a resolution/bet on "who will gain the most weight in 2006." to dedicate themselves to this awe-inspiring goal, they then plowed into a double family sized batch of baked ziti. between the three of them, they finished it that night. haha, so crazy....but i have to admit i was jealous. mmm garlic bread.
#3. i actually QUIT my gym membership last week. yep. it made sense when i was on my "extended vacation" this summer, all i had to do was hit the gym in the afternoon...but now, work is just getting in the way of my rock solid ab routine. seeeee ya gymbo. i'll put that grand to better use this year.
#4. based on the above, i haven't figured out how i'm going to accomplish this one... i DO need to shed some lb's, b/c i want to cut my hair short this summer. (not like mia farrow pixie short, but atleast to my jawline). unfortunately, my oval face becomes a big fat basketball with short hair... unlike some fancy celebs, ie Sienna Miller...bitch chopped off all her long blond locks and looks great. i attribute this to the fact that she's a sack of bones. i'm thinking this resolution will require the lindsay lohan coke and bulimia diet. ugh. puking = too much commitment.
#5. i will be more organized this year. i've already thrown out half the crap in my apt....now i just need to go through the other half.
#6. i will seek the wise advice of a financial planner. i have some serious investing to take care of before i turn 30.
#7. based on #6, i will pay off my surplus of credit card debt. that will make me happy.
#8. start dating tom brady.
it could happen, no?
So I can't tell... Do you want to lose weight or gain weight this year? Either way, you have to keep eating burritos.
Posted by: jeremie at January 16, 2006 11:14 AMburritos are mandatory in 2006. that said, i have no dire plans to either gain or lose weight...mina was the one who is betting she will gain weight. which is fine since she's about a size 2. damn skinny people.
Posted by: missy at January 16, 2006 1:27 PMFirst of all, there ARE better places than taco bell to dine mexicano... YOU LIVE IN LA id be quite the burrito fanatic.
That aside - i say to hell with veggies, protien, and calorie counting... If you want to lose weight try the crispy creme diet - I hear good things!
Posted by: Justin at January 17, 2006 8:16 AMall the kripsy kreme's have been shut down in so. cal. from the east coast corporate office! so now what kinda crack is next?
Posted by: mark at January 17, 2006 9:32 AMthat's not chocolate frosting...a coworker just said the shut down was due to the "shit spill"....apparently a huge sewage plant backed up and it's contaminated water supplies, seeped up through the ground and spewed into the ocean. SoCal is gross.
eeeeeeeeeew.
Posted by: Missy at January 17, 2006 10:21 AMYet another reason why you should move to Nor Cal.
Posted by: brett at January 17, 2006 1:06 PMyep.. this place is granola-tastic.
Posted by: jeremie at January 17, 2006 8:04 PMyeah i know, but i finally have a good job here...i'll probably be bored with it in six months anyway. could i commute?
Posted by: missy at January 17, 2006 11:05 PMSofties...all of you
