I went with some very small speakers -- the Nucleus Micro from Anthony Gallo (and their MPS subwoofer).

I believe they can play mp3's. Hook up to an ipod, upscale to 1080p if it's not already there, stuff like that. Proly not the best out there but for a cheap home theatre it'll work. Compliments the big Sony TV. Will have to get a new DVD player anyways once the HD DVD's come out.
