It was a pretty good day in Tahoe yesterday. Woke up at six and did a day trip to Sugar Bowl. The only downside was the wind at the top of the mountain, and the fog up there made it tough to see. I ended up buried in a gully right next to a "Danger Cliff Area" sign, which was fun on the one hand, but I spent my entire energy reserve crawling up a powder hill which kept caving in on me as I inched up.
I should have just done the cliff. Er, maybe not. Anyways, Gotta love tahoe in the snow. I called matt in arizona, because he has been my tahoe buddy for the last few years - sorry man, I just had to rub it in. I hope your AZ weather wasn't too hot for february bud.
Here is one of becky on a near empty run:

sigh, sniff. Damn, that looks like fun. While you were shredding the slopes I was shredding my lawn in the sun. I think its been 15 years since I cut grass.
Posted by: magro at February 26, 2007 7:42 AMWell, I guess saturday night after we left, they got three feet. The next morning, most of the mountains had to close due to 100mph winds at the top. They are getting two more feet today.
Our friend stayed behind and was going to go up on sunday. Sucks to see all that powder in front of your face and not be able to get up the lift!
BTW matt - will you post a pic of your new place?
