Here's a small piece of the article to explain it a bit...
"Everywhere else I went, from the dentist to the flower shop, Iranians buzzed with resentment at the film's depictions of Persians, adamant that the movie was secretly funded by the U.S. government to prepare Americans for going to war against Iran."

Un-F'n believable. Now honestly no offense to anyone, race, culture, or whatever...but some cultures and people need to chill-ax a bit. Why do people look waaaay too deep into things when it comes to this crap? IT'S A MOVIE BASED ON HISTORY AND A NOVEL!!!! Not some secret plot against a country or something stupid like that... American's weren't even in the movie! Now I know it's not about American's vs. Persian's, and it's about the way the Persian's "looked" in the film....but honestly...Get a life! Crap like this annoys me to death, I'm sorry. Some american director makes a movie and therefor he's secretly working with the government to make some other culture look bad because well...it's just fun....come onnnnnnn!!! I could rant on and on about how stupid some people are about things like this but I'll leave it alone....so F'n silly. Sounds like it's some other deep personal issues or something. Hope they come to their senses and just enjoy a movie...I'd say I hope they don't even release the movie over there but that'd proly just be pouring gasoline on a fire....
