DebtSucks..oh yea, and so do roomates

I hate debt.

I have so much this time of the year because of my non income ways. On top of it, i was graced with wonderful roomates this year who dont like to pay their way. Unfortunatly for me, both the telephone bill, and the cable bill are under my name, hurray! So, if i dont pay, my credit rating goes to shit, and if they dont pay me then i get jacked. So here I am all pissed off. Yesterday I walked into my house and i saw a FINAL NOTICE for the power bill. Now, as you know, this isnt my responsiability, but it is my responsiability to feed myself by way of our electric stove and microwave and warm myself with my electric heater. I took the letter to the guy who was responsiable for paying the power bill, which after he opened it i found was 207 dollars ! FUCK! All he had to say was, well i dont have the money, as soon as i get it ill pay... WHAT A DOUCHE! So after I lectured him about how if you dont pay THEY CUT YOUR SHIT OFF i went downstairs and paid it. So now I think all is left is for me to fall into the godfather role and start bustin some kneecaps.

SIANspheric pt II

So none of your sorry asses took my suggestion and went to go see SIANspheric, but I sure did. One of the better shows I have seen, and pretty unique.

After everybody bailed with punk ass excuses, I drug brett out to see it. It was his birthday at midnight so he might as well stay awake for it.

Edinburgh castle pub in SF is pretty cool. Roomy enough... a wall of liquor... pool, pinball, etc. There was a little room upstairs where the bands were setting up. Anyways, we sat down for the first band, who didn't really impress me (at all). I was feeling a bit freaked since I pulled brett away from warcraft and didn't want to dissappoint. They covered their mic's with flowers and felt like a berkley hippie band which isn't my style.

Couple of beers later and SIANspheric setup. I had no idea what to expect live. There were about 25 people there. All had seats in an area the size of my living room. Brett and I sat in the front center, about 4 feet back. First song came on... FUuuuuuck, my ears are bleeding. Sonic wall of tripped out shoegaze rock. Sounded way better than the cd. Fifteen pedals on the floor in front of both guitarists. Sounds I thought were made via ruining mp3's in software were done live on guitar. What? I can't hear shit.

I didn't know that some base drums have a hole in them, to create a sort of bass wind that pops out. This was hitting brett and me in the face. It was sick.

They spoke of their drive up the coast, and how the Hamilton skyline with steel mills was much more beautiful. Sure.

After the show they had some merchandise... and asked the audience to support them and buy some stuff. Everybody wanted to buy shit. I told the guys thanks for coming all the way down to SF (I have been wanting to see them since I lived at rob's place when I was in school). They were a bit surprised and said that they were having a tough time touring the US, since no one knew who they were. SF was the only place people bought there albums. Bummer. I said See? it rules here... COME BACK! I guess they have a 50 hour drive to do after their last stop in Oregon.

hopefully they will last for another tour before breaking up... here is a quote from the back of their dvd:

"Petty in-fighting, drug abuse, break ups, cash grab reunions, are all part and parcel of the sorded SIANSpheric story".

bummer... hope they last. Great show.

I don't think more than 3 people can keep a terrible secret when their conscience is at steak. It would be like dying everyday. That's in my world. That's why I don't usually buy into alot of this conspiricy bullshit.

Yes, St. Patrick.

We ate cheesesteak sando's from jay's. Then we walked from brett's house to a lil pub called the pig n' whistle. Somehow we lucked out and got a seat so we wouldn't get tired of standing after one drink. Five later and we were wheelin' our friend kelly around in a shopping cart along Geary Blvd.

Good times.

a few things

i have many many things to say, but i'll be sure to break it up into multiple blogs, b/c i know you all hate to read my endless commentaries - and i'll try to use minimal words in case you want to read all the way to the end this time.

my mom thought "the constant gardner" was a movie about organic farming... and "oooh i just love that preggers lady from 'the mummy'." God bless her, but i still don't find her movie interpretations as disturbing as the fact that she recently purchased "doggie diapers" for her prized toy pomperanian. my poor dad. did i mention she already purchased a "stroller" for the pup? silly me, i thought dogs had legs.

well this super non-auto-save format of jeremie's just erased a bunch of priceless material i just wrote, due to some random error, and i can't even attempt to reproduce it right now, so i'm calling it a night. ugh...so annoyed.

There's something out there waiting for us
And it ain't no man

Go!!!

Dillon, you son of a bitch!
What's the matter?
The CIA got you pushing too many pencils?
We're a rescue team, not assassins!

What happened to you Dillon? What happened to you Dillon?
Stick around! Stick around!
What happened to you Dillon?
You used to be someone!
I could trust! Trust!

It's all bullshit, all of it
The cabinet minister, the whole business!
So you cooked up a story
And dropped the six of us in a meat grinder!

(chorus)

I'm here, kill me, come on, kill me, I'm here!
Come on, do it now! Run! Get to the chopper!

(chorus)

Hey Toten, give me a way out of this hole
Let's go!!!

That's right, I know you can feel it
It's the power of ArnoCorps around you
If it bleeds, we can kill it!

(chorus x2)

This is why i stopped smoking pot
After this there was no need.

Time to TIVO.
I would love to have Carl Sagan, James Burke and Stephen Hawking over for Cocktails and Dinner.

Big Wreck

We got stuck in some insane traffic this morning on the way to the eye doc. Jeesus... er, well, we weren't actually in this part. They closed 101 north all lanes due to this 28 car pileup last night in the wee hours.

SIANspheric

A band I started listening to in canada is coming to the USA for the first time in a really long time to tour (I have been waiting for 10 years). You may have heard them, since I put them on the first and second TALBOT compilation... they are called SIANspheric. They are a shoegazy band and I believe all the shows they are playing in the states are at pubs or local bars. If you have free time, check them out...

Anyways, if you are in any of these towns... check em out... it is probably a really small cover. They are co-headlining with another canadian band called "A Northern Chorus". Good stuff.
