a photo stitch of Turquoise Lake from a mountain in Leadville. This was right around the time Tammy was yelling at me b/c she thought i was going to drive us off a cliff. Not this time!

Really love a nice quality commercial. Sorry...that's all i have right now..
As you can tell, I was a bit bored this weekend. Becky went to denver, loren moved, brett is camping, and things are quiet here. Needless to say, I have been mucking around on the internet and looked up becky's flight in google earth.
Pretty crazy, as I was about to leave to pick her up, I saw that she was still in Nevada and figured I would give it a few minutes. I also found a download for ALL the flights in the air, updated by the hour:
Ummm... that's a lot of planes. Anyways - I thought that image was interesting enough to post. Here is the url: www.fboweb.com
If the poop wasn't enough, I went back to the mission last night to see a show at my friend Forest's art gallery (little tree gallery). It was a great show, with really sculptural, nature vs. industrial installation pieces. It is a small space, but then always end up doing a good job with it.
Anyways, I met christian down there and we had some dinner, then, walking back to our cars about 20 cops start pouring out of the mission police station and flying down the roads all around us. It must have reminded christian of baltimore for sure. Then, flying down 18th or so, is a pickup truck going about 60 mph with 5 cops behind. Of course, being a retard, I think "why doesn't that truck just get out of the way?" oh wait, its being chased... vrrroooom, peeeeeel. Then, like in some looney toons clip, 2 minutes later, the same truck is coming the opposite direction down the same road (How the hell did she turn around?) peels around the corner, everybody gets the ---- out of the way thinking that the beater truck is going to flip or crash into somebody - then everybody cheers as the cops fly by. Christian and I were laughing as we saw the truck pass, because the woman driving it was driving with her head out the window like dog, her hair blowing in the wind, and had these crazy damn eyes!
Enjoy your last seconds of freedom, cause you are a about to get owned! Anyways, the mission was good to me yesterday. I think.
I went over to the climbing gym this morning, and parked next to this car:

On closer inspection, I noticed that someone grabbed a turd with a napkin, and stuffed it in the door handle. I proceeded to move my car. You gotta love the Mission District. In other news, it was a fantastic day here in every neighborhood but ours. About 72 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny. A great day to wander into Taqueria Cancun and grab and El Pastor Burrito. Sorry defectors (Loren/Matt) NO BURRITO FOR YOU.
As Matt wrote in a previous post, and I will echo in this one... that movie "Once" is pretty great. I didn't even watch the preview and went to it with Becky, Jason, and Kris. It was a really interesting, fresh way to tell a story. We saw it at the embarcadero theatres last night. It seems like on the week of Transformers opening, we just keep seeing great movies and avoiding that big graphics extravaganza.
Anyways - Once - Definitely worth checking out, anybody. And again, thanks matt for the recommendation. Now go check out Paris Je T'Aime too...
In response to matt's movie post, I would recommend seeing Paris, Je T'Aime. Becky found this one, but she never posts, so I will for her.
It is a film of short films, each one centered around a neighborhood in paris. There are a bunch of notable actors and directors featured in it (Coen Brothers, Wes Craven, etc) and most are great little 5 minute ideas. None get long and boring. It was a good one to check out.
Natalie Portman acts in my favorite short. It was great... check it out.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Becky, should i respond with a nasty email on your behalf? This email showed up today, the final chapter of your un-realized masterpiece. Rude!
Dear Yahoo! Photos user,
For some time now, we've supported two great photo sharing services: Yahoo! Photos and Flickr. But even good things come to an end, and we've decided to close Yahoo! Photos to focus all our efforts on Flickr — the award-winning photo sharing community that TIME Magazine has called "completely addictive."
We will officially close Yahoo! Photos on Thursday, September 20, 2007, at 9 p.m. PDT. Until then, we are offering you the opportunity to move to another photo sharing service (Flickr, KODAK Gallery, Shutterfly, Snapfish, or Photobucket), download your original-resolution photos back to your computer, or buy an archive CD from our featured partner (for users of the New Yahoo! Photos only). All you need to do is tell us what to do with your photos before we close, after which any photos remaining on Yahoo! Photos will be deleted and no longer accessible.
Of course, we hope you'll join us at Flickr (you can even use your Yahoo! ID), but we also realize that Flickr may not be for everyone. In the end, we want you to find the service that's right for you, and we hope you take some time to learn more about your options before making this important decision.
Please give us your decision by Thursday, September 20, 2007, at 9 p.m. PDT. After that time, any photos remaining in Yahoo! Photos will be deleted. Click here to make your decision, or review a list of our frequently asked questions.
Thanks for being a part of the Web's largest photo sharing service — we hope to see you over at Flickr!
The Yahoo! Photos team
